I had fun but it could've been better
I had a blast at the Local H, but I do have some recommendations that could enhance the experience, in my opinion:
Water fountains/stations. It was too hot not to offer complimentary water, and it was unacceptable to have vendors running out of water. Super unprofessional.
Never bring back Tierra Whack or Summer Walker.
On that note, ensure consistency with the scheduled order of the performances and BE ON TIME. It was incredibly challenging, nearly impossible, to strategize which stage to be at due to the lack of clarity regarding when the artists would actually take the stage. This caused us to miss out on the full event experience. I missed seeing WizKid because the show ran significantly overtime on a Sunday night, and I would've had to endure a lengthy delay before the next artist even began their set.
Roped off pathways amid the crowd. Attendees were haphazardly walking over others' blankets, causing congestion and frustration. Additionally, many individuals fainted due to the heat, necessitating medical assistance. Implementing clear walkways could expedite medical response times.
Regarding the DJs, their performance was subpar. They repeated the same seven songs throughout the two-day event, which became irritating. With a vast array of music available, it was disappointing to hear "Swag Surfin'" played four times a day.
As for the sound production and engineering team, who was overseeing that aspect? Kirk Franklin's performance was nearly acapella due to technical issues, such as malfunctioning microphones and headsets. This was highly unprofessional.
Lastly, the porta-potties should have been cleaned or replaced between days. The lack of proper sanitation was unpleasant.
That's all. Despite the issues, I had an enjoyable time!
